MMA Big Show Showcases Stars at ‘Triple Threat’
ndiana (USA): MMA Big Show, one of the top fight promotions in the Midwest, will present one of its biggest shows ever when it brings “TRIPLE THREAT” to the Belterra Casino on Saturday, February 20th. In the main event, MMA Big Show heavyweight contender Dave Hess (3-1) will battle UFC veteran and Indiana native Jake O’Brien (11-3) in a bout that will certainly have future title implications. Featured in the co-main event, MMA Big Show Welterweight Champion Roger Bowling (6-0) will fight for the final time before he makes his StrikeForce debut. He will defend the Big Show belt against rising newcomer Jerrod Appenzeller (1-0 – pro, 7-1 – amateur). Also showcased will be former MMA Big Show Middleweight Champion Mojo Horne (7-2) as he takes on tough, experienced StrikeForce veteran Lucas Lopes (18-8). The likeable light heavyweight from Tulsa, Oklahoma, is riding a two-fight losing skid in the Maximum Fighting Championship, while his upcoming opponent, Dwayne Lewis, is soaring with a six-fight winning streak. Heath has called this bout a must-win but yet at this very moment there’s a more pressing issue at stake.

Don’t blink in this one. Two of the areas lightest and most talented fighters have been added to WCF 9. USMMA’s Matt Martin is set to take on Bombsquad’s Peter Cole at 125 pounds. Matt had a recent win for WCF over Nik Patnaude, in a fight in which he used his wrestling and Brazilian Jui-Jitsu to out work Patnaude and win a unanimous decision. He’s currently ranked among the top 5 fighters in New England under 135 pounds. A True Survivor, Lavar Johnson To Make Return To MMA Cage March 26 In Fresno

Free Public MMA Weigh-In, Autograph Session Friday At BankAtlantic Center
All 24 fighters will participate in the final weigh in thisFriday, Jan. 29, just one day prior to the STRIKEFORCE mixed martial arts (MMA) fight card on Saturday, Jan. 30 at BankAtlantic Center in Sunrise, Fla., live on SHOWTIME (10 p.m. ET/PT). The weigh in is open to the public, free of charge.
Walker, the 1982 Heisman Trophy winner, will make his MMA debut against Greg Nagy. The 47-year-old two-time Pro Bowler will compete in the cage the night before the Pro Bowl and one week prior to the Super Bowl.
