Knockout Artists and ‘Knockout’ Ring Girls On “IFL Battleground” Monday
NEW YORK, May 9, 2007- The International Fight League (OTC.BB: IFLI), the world’s first team-based professional mixed martial arts league, looks at two kinds of “knockouts,” those dished out by its world-class athletes, and the young ladies trying to become the next IFL Ring Girl in the next episode of “IFL Battleground” on Monday, May 14, at 8 p.m. ET/PT (7 p.m. CT/MT). “IFL Battleground” airs every Monday night on MyNetworkTV.
IFL athletes whose knockout footage and reactions are featured include:
. Portland Wolfpack lightweight Mike Dolce (Belmar, N.J.)
. Los Angeles Anacondas lightweight Chris Horodecki (London, Ontario)
. Quad City Silverbacks welterweight Rory Markham (Chicago)
. Quad City Silverbacks lightweight Bart Palaszewski (Wonder Lake, Ill.)
. IFL Superfighter and mixed martial arts veteran Jens Pulver (Davenport, Iowa)
. Quad City Silverbacks heavyweight Ben Rothwell (Milwaukee, Wis.)
The episode also covers recent IFL Ring Girl Audition events in Los Angeles in New York, as the league looks to add to its roster of poised, talented ladies. Rutten and other celebrity judges, including Debra Wilson Skelton (”MADtv”), Evan Ross (Pride, ATL) and Cassandra Jean (”America’s Next Top Model) meet a few of the entrants as they work to ultimately find the best ones to represent the league. Among the hopefuls are Chaunda Mason (Severn, Md.), Adriani Patterson (Encino, Calif.), Yasmin Spain (Detroit) and Veronika Valouchova (Laguna Niguel, Calif.).

Each of the 12 IFL teams for 2007 will compete in three regular season events; the teams with the top four overall win-loss team records will advance to the semi-finals, which will be held on Thursday, August 2, at Continental Airlines Arena in East Rutherford, N.J. The 2007 IFL Finals will then be held at The Forum in Los Angeles on Saturday, September 15.
