Rage In The Cage 101

If you want to watch it on TV turn to Spike or Pay-Per-View. But if you want it live Desert Diamond Casino is the only option for Southern Arizona extreme cage fighting fans. First debuting in the area in November 2005, Rage in the Cage is returning for a ninth show at the Diamond Center on Saturday, October 6th. Tickets are on sale now and range from $25 to $100 in advance. Doors open at 7:00 PM with the first bout starting at approximately 8:00 PM.

Topping the evening is the showdown for the RITC Southwest Heavyweight Title. Local favorite Chad Griggs (5-1) returns to the Diamond Center after making his first appearance there on May 26th of last year when he defeated Jon Tsosie. He’s gone on to be an IFL star, competing in California, Colorado, Connecticut, and Texas. Griggs faces Steve Sayegh (7-12) for the title.

The second main event pits George Roop (6-3) against Tito Jones (3-0) for the RITC Southwest Lightweight Title. George Roop, fighting out of Tucson, will attempt to defend his home turf against Phoenix’s Jones.

Undercard fighters include: Lyle Steffens, Rich Alten, Carlos Ortega, Neal Abrams, Jeremy Larsen, Jason Harris, Doug Moore, Danny Hamamoto, Freddy Fernandez, Mike Smith, Rene Pesqueira, Nic Stone, Jaime Armendariz, Pete Morales, Mike King, Eric Regan, Neil Sanders, Eugene Gonzales, Elijah Muhammad, Daniel Hinsen, Jon Smith, and Roman Salazar.
