Rob Zombie’s Halloween to sponsor HDNet Fights “Reckless Abandon”

DALLAS, TEXAS—Mark Cuban’s HDNet FIGHTS has inked a promotional deal with Rob Zombie’s HALLOWEEN UNRATED to sponsor “RECKLESS ABANDON,” scheduled for December 15th at Dallas’ American Airlines Center. The ten-bout mixed-martial-arts event will feature two of the sports top middleweights, Frank Trigg and Jason “Mayhem” Miller, in separate co-main event fights.

Each fan attending the event will receive Zombie’s HALLOWEEN UNRATED on DVD. HALLOWEEN is scheduled to be released on DVD to the public on December 19th.

For HDNet Fights CEO, Andrew Simon, the match-up with Zombie’s HALLOWEEN was a natural fit. “A lot of our fight fans are HALLOWEEN fans as well,” Simon pointed out. “For our customers to be able to come to the Fights and also receive a movie, valued at $30, is just an added bonus to the fun that they will be having on December 15th.”

Tickets for RECKLESS ABANDON are priced at $25, $50, $100 and $300 (Cageside Club). Cageside Club seating includes: Seating in first 4 rows, Platinum Parking, Pre-Fight Dinner/Meet & Greet, Complimentary T-Shirt and program. Tickets are on sale at the American Airlines Center Box Office and all Ticketmaster Outlets, including www.ticketmaster.com and by phone at 214-373-8000.

In an inter-promotional battle that experts are predicting will be a candidate for “Fight of the Year” - IFL standout Tim Kennedy (8-1) steps into the cage to fight HDNet Fights superstar Miller (19-5). The two fought as part of an Extreme Challenge eight-man middleweight tournament in February of 2003. Kennedy won a unanimous decision en route to winning the tournament. Mayhem seeks redemption and will undoubtedly fight with reckless abandon!

Trigg (15-6), a veteran of both UFC and Pride, will be taking on Edwin Dewees (43-10) in a 3-round clash of top middleweights.

Also slated for action on the card will be one of the world’s top lightweights, Yves Edwards (29-13-1, Houston). Edwards will be taking on Alonzo Martinez (20-8). UFC veteran Pete Spratt and exciting newcomer Nissen Osterneck are also scheduled to appear on the fight card.
