Press Release – “HDNet Fights”, the unifying mixed martial arts organization televised on Mark Cuban’s HDNet cable channel, should cease operations immediately because it was born out of a breach of trust, misappropriation of trade secrets, and other harmful actions on the part of HDNet, the North American Boxing Council (NABC) said in a lawsuit filed March 17th in the Marion Superior Court in Indianapolis, Indiana. Veterans Joey Guel, Jim Miller, Josh Souder, Two IFL Draft Competitors Among Additions

Seven mixed martial arts professionals have been added to the nine-bout card as the International Fight League  returns to the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Conn., on Friday, May 16.  HDNet will again have live television coverage of the event. The added fighters include two – Danillo Villefort (Pompano Beach, Fla.) and Josh Souder (Mason, Ohio) who competed at IFL Draft events last September.  Also added is Jim Miller (Sparta, N.J.), who is coming off an impressive victory in his IFL debut at the Izod Center in E. Final preparations are underway for the “2 Countries 1 Cage” mixed martial arts extravaganza scheduled for this Saturday, April 26 at the Palace in Auburn Hills, Michigan. Event promoter Joseph Donofrio of Donofrio Entertainment will be making his debut in the MMA arena after a long and successful run in professional boxing. One of Australia’s most promising young fighters at both middleweight and welterweight and one of the world’s most prolific Judo players, Hector “Shango” Lombard, signed a long-term contract with Los Angeles-based ProElite, Inc.’s live division, EliteXC.

Mixed martial arts star and Olympic silver medalist Matt “The Law” Lindland has launched a campaign for the vacated Oregon State Representative seat in District 52 in the upcoming election. Lindland, 37, a silver medalist in wrestling at the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney, Australia, and again at the 2001 World Championships, owns the Team Quest Training Center in Portland and is the coach of the camp’s International Fight League entry. As the International Fight League (IFL) readies for its next event at Mohegan Sun Arena on May 16, IFL Camp Trainer Martin Rooney has his eyes set on several additional goals, including the top of the sports bestseller list and the top picks in the NFL Draft.
