Boston, MA— World Championship Fighting (WCF) announces the full fight card (see below) for its June 20th show in Wilmington, MA. In one of the night’s featured fights, UFC veteran Dan “The Upgrade” Lauzon returns to the ring riding a five fight win streak and having stopped his last four opponents in the first round. In another featured fight is a match-up of two local Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) superstars in Mike Campbell and Rich Moskowitz. Campbell is an undefeated fighter and one of the area’s most promising talents ending his last two fights in knock out while Moskowitz has made his name by fighting some of the area’s toughest fighters and winning most of his fights in dominating fashion. EliteXC will return to SHOWTIME with back-to-back mixed martial arts telecasts beginning Friday, June 13, at 11 p.m. ET/PT with a replay of the May 31 landmark MMA event, “CBS EliteXC Saturday Night Fights.” Each of the five fights that made up the CBS broadcast will be shown in their entirety on SHOWTIME, including the impressive performance by Gina Carano, the thrilling EliteXC middleweight title brawl between champion Robbie Lawler and Scott Smith, and the main event of Kimbo Slice against James Thompson. Ratings for the final 51 minutes of CBS’s inaugural CBS ELITEXC SATURDAY NIGHT FIGHTS mixed martial arts broadcast (11:00-11:51 PM, ET/PT), which were unavailable Sunday, delivered an average audience of 6.12 million viewers, according to updated Nielsen live plus same day ratings for Saturday, May 31. figures, announced the line up for Series 2 of their Champions Line at a UFC celebrity studded launch event in Toronto, Canada. The event took place in the home town of Round 5’s head office and was sponsored by Yahoo! Canada , featuring guest appearances by UFC Heavyweight Champion, Randy “The Natural” Couture, and Former Lightweight Champion Sean “The Muscle Shark” Sherk, and hosted by marketing firm Pressure Creative + Design. Photos: TOM CASINO/EliteXC – On a history-making evening which featured a lot of exciting, entertaining two-way action and a little bit of everything, including licks, kicks and controversy, unbeaten Kimbo Slice (3-0) of Perrine, Fla., scored a hard-fought third-round TKO over England’s James “Colossus” Thompson (16-9) in the main event of the inaugural “CBS EliteXC Saturday Night Fights” on the CBS Television Network.

The monumental event, the first-ever mixed martial arts card shown live in primetime on network television, was witnessed by 8,033, at the Prudential Center in Newark, N.J., and millions more on CBS.
