Trump and Affliction announce new MMA Series

Donald Trump, Affliction Entertainment and M-1 Global today announced plans to begin filming a new, ground-breaking MMA reality series called “Fighting Fedor.” The shows theme is to find the next Fedor Emelianenko, by creating an elimination tournament between undiscovered MMA talent, with the winner fighting Fedor himself. WCF Covered in The Improper Bostonian and Real Fighter Magazine

World Championship Fighting continues to receive overwhelming support from the media and has been covered in the current issue of The Improper Bostonian magazine and Real Fighter magazine. In an article titled “Hooked” in The Improper Bostonian, World Championship Fighting and it’s head promoter, Joe Cavallaro, are credited with developing top Mixed Martial Arts talent in the Massachusetts area: “Massachusetts, thanks to Cavallaro, has developed into a hotbed of talent, and when the UFC looks for rising stars, it often looks in his direction.” That talent will be on display November 14th in Wilmington Massachusetts for World Championship Fighting 5 when some of the areas greatest stars will take to the ring. Fighting Hurts – Episode 3: Ian Freeman meets the contestants

Ten contestants remain in Fighting Hurts, a new TV show that throws novice fighters into the world of Mixed Martial Arts (MMA). Organizers of the inaugural U.S. Sports Film Festival today announced that a special part of the Saturday, October 25 schedule of events will include a track dedicated to boxing and MMA documentaries, with a panel discussion to follow each of the films. Lauzon visiting U.S. troops in Iraq

E. BRIDGEWATER, Mass. (October 13, 2008) – UFC lightweight contender Joe “J-Lau” Lauzon, 17-4, 4 KOs, 13 submissions), star of The Ultimate Fighter 5 television reality show, leaves tomorrow on a 10-day goodwill trip visiting U.S. military troops in Iraq. Dave ‘Pee Wee’ Herman Stays Unbeaten

Promising, unbeaten heavyweight Dave “Pee Wee’’ Herman of Bloomington, Ind., improved to 12-0 with a 1:06, first-round TKO over Kerry “Meat Truck’’ Schall (21-11) of Cincinnati, Ohio, in the main event Friday on ShoXC: Elite Challenger Series.

EliteXC Champ Jake Shields To Open New Gym

The Grand Opening of EliteXC welterweight champion Jake Shields’ new gym (with partner Jason Manley) is tomorrow/Saturday at noon in Berkeley, Calif.
