Lauzon’s goodwill trip memorable for UFC fighter and U.S. troops in Middle East
E. BRIDGEWATER, Mass. (November 26, 2008) – UFC lightweight contender Joe “J-Lau” Lauzon’s recent 12-day goodwill trip visiting U.S. military troops in Iraq and Kuwait was a knockout for everybody.

WCF Finishes 2008 with a bang as Lauzon, Benoit, Bonnell win
World Championship Fighting closed out 2008 on a high note with its best fight card of the year providing highlight reel knockouts and some very slick submissions. In the featured fight of the night UFC veteran Dan “The Upgrade” Lauzon put on a show in front of the 3,500 fans who packed the Shriners Auditorium on Friday by catching a kick from his opponent Justin “Sledge” Hammerstrom and countering with a straight right hand which staggered Hammerstrom. Lauzon, eager to finish the fight in convincing fashion, followed up with combinations that sent Hammerstrom to the canvas where Lauzon seemed to turn up the heat even more with power punches from the top position. UFC Veteran Dan Lauzon ready for last fight of 2008 at WCF5
UFC Veteran Dan “The Upgrade” Lauzon is set to have his final fight of 2008 on November 14th in Wilmington, MA. Lauzon is the youngest fighter to have ever competed in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) at age 18 and is riding a six fight win streak coming into his fight with Justin “Sledge” Hammerstrom. Lauzon was originally slated for an October superfight with IFL veteran Chris Horodecki for the Affliction organization, but when the organization re-scheduled their event for late January, Lauzon was eager to keep busy and accepted a fight in his home state of Massachusetts. Lauzon will weigh-in for the event on Thursday November 13th in Wilmington, MA at 6:00PM. Weigh-ins are open to the public. This fight may be the final time local Massachusetts fans get to see Lauzon fight live before he begins fighting exclusively on Pay-Per-View events Nationwide and Overseas. WCF and WBCN partner to support Toys For Tots Nov 14th
Boston, MA, Nov. 4 – World Championship Fighting (WCF) today announced the launch of its “Fight For Children In Need” campaign in association with WBCN, the Rock of Boston, to support Greater Boston’s Toys For Tots program.
