Press Conference/Weigh-in for 2 Countries 1 Score To Settle

Fighters, trainers and all media are invited to the formal press conference/weigh-in for promoter Joe Donofrio’s “2 COUNTRIES, 1 SCORE TO SETTLE” event.

§ It will be held at the Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites located at 3990 Baldwin Road in Auburn Hills, MI at 6:30 pm on Friday, June 27, 2008.

§ Michigan State Boxing Commissioner Al Low will be on hand to answer questions about the future of MMA in Michigan.

§ The following night, the “2 COUNTRIES, 1 SCORE TO SETTLE” event will be held at 7:30 p.m. at the Palace of Auburn Hills.

§ Fighters, trainers and all support staff are asked to be at the Palace by 6:00 p.m.

§ There will be a second opportunity to weigh-in for fighters who cannot make Friday’s press conference/weigh-in.

§ Food will be provided, to fighters and trainers only, after weighing in on either night.

§ Media requesting credentials to attend on Saturday are required to attend the press conference/weigh-in on Friday. Credentials will not be granted at the door, so if you are unable to attend the press conference, please call 519.253.4290 (Andre) to make special arrangements.

Featuring some of the best MMA fighters from The United States and Canada, 2 COUNTRIES, 1 SCORE TO SETTLE will be promoter Joseph Donofrio, of Donofrio Entertainment’s follow-up to his wildly successful inaugural MMA event.

“There were more than 5000 people at the last event and it was spectacular. But ever since that night, the fighters from the US have been begging me to give them another shot at the Canadians. So that’s why I’ve decided to do it again. This one will be all about Team USA restoring their honor.”

With 20 competitive bouts; 100 foot catwalks, off-the-hook pyrotechnics, world-class ring girls, and the Midwest’s best choreographed troupe walking the fighters to the cage, 2 COUNTRIES, 1 SCORE TO SETTLE will be even better than it’s groundbreaking predecessor.

“No other mixed martial arts event in Michigan even compares to the extravaganza that these shows have become,” added Donofrio. “If you are a fan of MMA and want to see how it’s done at the highest level, this is the show you’ve been waiting for. Don’t miss it!”

Tickets are priced at $50 and $30 reserved seating and $20 general admission and are on sale now at Palacenet.com, the Palace Box Office and all Ticketmaster locations.

Special Front Row and Ringside Seating is also available.

Tickets may be charged by phone to American Express, Discover, Visa and MasterCard by calling 248.645.6666.
