Aspiring mixed martial artists, take note: The XFC wants YOU!

Premier Martial Arts of Knoxville Tennessee has paired with the Florida-based Xtreme Fighting Championships organization to host an open tryout on January 23rd, 2010.

Fighters from bantamweight to heavyweight are invited to display their prowess in striking, wrestling and grappling for a chance to compete on an HDNet-televised XFC event in 2010.

Premier Martial Arts of Knoxville is located at 8425 Kingston Pike, Knoxville TN. 37922. The day’s schedule varies depending on each prospective fighter’s weight class.

Winners of the open tryout are guaranteed a spot on an Florida-based event in either March or June. Both events will take place at the St. Pete Times Forum in Tampa and will be broadcast on HDNet.

The XFC has hosted seven shows at the St. Pete Times Forum and was the first organization to conduct a professional event in Tennessee.

The XFC’s most recent event, “XFC 9: Evolution,” was held in September and saw War Machine defeat Mikey Gomez in the main event.

A rapidly expanding promotion, the XFC made waves in 2009 by signing a broadcast deal with HDNet and announcing its intentions to conduct European-based events in 2010.
