By MFC Staff – The MFC 24: Heat XC bout between Jared Kilkenny and Jason Kuchera has been cancelled after Kilkenny backed out of the fight the day of the weigh-in.

No explanation was given for his last-minute refusal to fight. It is a disappointing turn of events for Kuchera who had worked diligently to get into top physical condition for the encounter. Kuchera, who had even agreed to take the bout at a catchweight of 210 pounds to accommodate Kilkenny, was eyeing a knockout victory that would have put him back in the mix amongst the Heat XC’s top light heavyweights.
