Kilkenny backs out of clash with Kuchera
By MFC Staff – The MFC 24: Heat XC bout between Jared Kilkenny and Jason Kuchera has been cancelled after Kilkenny backed out of the fight the day of the weigh-in.
No explanation was given for his last-minute refusal to fight. It is a disappointing turn of events for Kuchera who had worked diligently to get into top physical condition for the encounter. Kuchera, who had even agreed to take the bout at a catchweight of 210 pounds to accommodate Kilkenny, was eyeing a knockout victory that would have put him back in the mix amongst the Heat XC’s top light heavyweights. Showtime Networks and Verizon announced today the launch of the first nationwide, high-definition interactive television application (iTV) using EBIF (Enhanced TV Binary Interchange Format), with the new SHOWTIME Sports Interactive.
