Middleweight (185 pounds) Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) superstar and former Olympic wrestling silver medalist Matt “The Law” Lindland (21-7) will return to the cage in the main event of a STRIKEFORCE Challengers event at Rose Garden Arena in Portland, Oregon on Friday, May 21.

Rumble At Rexall Rescheduled

An unforeseen scheduling conflict at the venue has forced the East West Fighting Championships to postpone their inaugural professional MMA event, “Rumble at Rexall”, until September 4 at Rexall Place in Edmonton, Alberta.

The hype for MFC 25: Vindication is starting off with a huge bang as Maximum Fighting Championship Owner/President Mark Pavelich is headed to Toronto for a media blitz.

It all starts off Tuesday, April 13 when Mark returns to TSN for a follow-up appearance on the highly popular round-table talk show “Off The Record with Michael Landsberg.” Having been a guest before, Mark is always up to the challenge to discuss the latest happenings in the world of sport and he’s ever-eager to defend his point of view against the rest of the panel. CBS AND STRIKEFORCE will present a World Championship Tripleheader that features five fighters ranked among the best in their respective weight classes and an undefeated star (Lawal) hoping to join their ranks on Saturday, April 17, live on The CBS Television Network (9 p.m. ET/PT), from Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tenn.

One of the elite mixed martial artists at 205 pounds, Gegard Mousasi (27-2-1), of Armenia, will put a 15-fight winning streak and his STRIKEFORCE World Light Heavyweight crown on the line against one of the most confident, fastest-rising, charismatic fighters in the world, “King Mo” Lawal (6-0), of Murfreesboro, Tenn.
