Undefeated “King Mo” Lawal will make his STRIKEFORCE debut and only his second mixed martial arts MMA appearance in the United States when he meets two-time NAIA wrestling All-American “Iron” Mike Whitehead in one of five televised fights on SHOWTIME® on Saturday, Dec. 19, from the HP Pavilion in San Jose, Calif.
Lawal, a former three-time U.S. Senior National wrestling champion and former NCAA National collegiate wrestling champion (Central Oklahoma), recently signed a multi-fight agreement with STRIKEFORCE. World Championship Fighting today announced four featured fights for their upcoming show, dated Friday, February 26th at the Shriner’s Auditorium in Wilmington, Mass.
In what promises to be a war, Pro-Elite/Elite-XC Veteran Fred Belleton makes his return to World Championship Fighting when he takes on the Team Santos product, Keith Jefferey. When Belleton last fought for WCF, he was victorious in one of the night’s featured fights with a viscous head kick KO. While this is Jefferey’s WCF debut, he’s no stranger to MMA and has been one of the very best 185 pounders in New England for years. A match up like this is truly not something you see too often. Charles Jebara, President of Tokyo Five announced late last night that the Company will sponsor Dutch sensation Stefan “Skyscraper” Struve for UFC 107 in Memphis, TN on December 12th, 2009.

Former World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) heavyweight champion and undefeated mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter Bobby Lashley has signed a multi-year agreement with STRIKEFORCE and will make his debut for the world championship MMA promotion at BankAtlantic Center in Sunrise, Fla., on Saturday, January 30.
The 6-foot-3 inch, 250-pound Lashley, also a former collegiate wrestling star for Missouri Valley College and member of The United States Army, will face an opponent that has not yet been determined during the live SHOWTIME® telecast of STRIKEFORCE: Miami, the historic, first-ever STRIKEFORCE event in the state of Florida.
