Boxing and MMA Collide At Irvine Marriott Feb 10

X1 World Events Results

Honolulu, HI (USA): This past Sunday, January 17th, a “Showdown” took place at Waipahu High School. But this night of fights had a special purpose: to raise money for the school’s athletic department. Over 2,000 fans packed the school’s gym, and fight celebrities such as former UFC and StrikeForce fighter Falaniko Vitale, EliteXC veteran Kaleo Kwan, former world boxing champion Jesus Salud, and UFC fighter “The Crippler” Chris Leben were in attendance. It was a night of fantastic fights, and at the end of the event, fight fans were satisfied, and X-1 World Events was able to hand over a $5,000 donation check to the Waipahu High School Athletic Department. Mixed Martial Arts Promoter Donofrio To Donate To The Victims Of The Earth Quake In Haiti

AUBURN HILLS, MI—Mixed Martial Arts promoter Joseph Donofrio announced today that he will donate a portion of the proceeds of his January 30th MMA show at the Palace of Auburn Hills to the victims of the earth quake in Haiti. “A Father’s Fight” MMA Documentary Advance Screening 1/22 in Brockton

On The Mark & Televisual Productions present an advance screening of the documentary A Father’s Fight starring Mark Chaupetta on Friday night January 22nd at The Shaws Center. The movie was co-directed by Peter Czymbor and Ron Van Dam.

MMA Comes To Massachusetts

Massachusetts has become the 42nd state in the country to bring regulated mixed martial arts (MMA) competitions, including Ultimate Fighting® Championship® (UFC®) events, to thousands of Bay State fans. The Massachusetts Legislature recently passed a bill that would allow the Department of Public Safety to oversee regulation of the popular sport in the state.

Zuffa, LLC, the parent company of the UFC®, does not conduct events in any state that does not properly regulate MMA. This legislation will now enable the company to hold events in Massachusetts. Specifically, the legislation mandates safety and medical requirements for every MMA fighter and event held in the state. Rancho Cucamonga, CA – Looking at 11 year old Aidan Claproth dressed in his UCLA basketball tank top and jeans, one would never know that this 3.9 GPA junior high student is an amateur MMA fighter with over three years of fighting experience. “Actually, when I was six my dad put me in a city Karate class and I didn’t like it,” explains the dirty blond haired youth. “We just stood there for an hour each week and waved our arms and legs around and yelled a lot.
