The 11th season of Spike TV’s most popular original series ever, “The Ultimate Fighter,” for the first time will feature 28 of the best up and coming mixed martial artists in the world competing for 14 spots in “The Ultimate Fighter” house. The series boasts a new format, which will be introduced to viewers in the show’s premiere episode. In what will literally be the biggest season ever of “The Ultimate Fighter” on Spike TV, the 10th season of the groundbreaking series, premiering Wednesday, September 16 at 10:00pm, will showcase 16 of the best unsigned heavyweight mixed martial arts fighters in the world. Former UFC light heavyweight champions “Suga” Rashad Evans and Quinton “Rampage” Jackson will serve as coaches for Season 10 of “The Ultimate Fighter” premiering Wednesday, September 16 at 10:00pm, it was announced today by Dana White, UFC President. This season will showcase 16 heavyweights, the first time this weight class has been featured on “The Ultimate Fighter” since Evans himself was a cast member on Season 2. Dan Henderson will serve as coach of the American team for season nine of “The Ultimate Fighter: US vs. UK” premiering Wednesday, April 1 at 10:00pm ET/PT on Spike TV. Henderson earned the right to coach after defeating former middleweight champ Rich Franklin via split decision after an intense bout at UFC 93 last Saturday night. After six grueling weeks of training and living in The Ultimate Fighter® house, Amir Sadollah and C.B. Dollaway have advanced to the finals of The Ultimate Fighter: Team Rampage Vs Team Forrest, and will square off on Saturday, June 21 at 9:00 PM ET on Spike TV LIVE from The Pearl at the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas, NV. The fight is a rematch of one of the semifinals, in which Team Forrest’s Sadollah caught Team Rampage’s #1 pick Dollaway in an armbar to advance to the finals. Jesse Taylor’s subsequent disqualification gave CB an opening, and after defeating Tim Credeur, he gets a chance to avenge his earlier defeat, as he and Sadollah step into the Octagon™ for the biggest fight in either’s career. The coaches for season eight of Spike TV’s “The Ultimate Fighter,” the most successful original series in network history, will feature two of the UFC’s all-time top heavyweights. Interim UFC heavyweight champion, Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira, and former UFC heavyweight champion Frank Mir, will star in the new season featuring light heavyweights (205 lbs) and lightweights (155 lbs) premiering Wednesday, September 17 at 10:00pm ET/PT.
