VERSUS To Re-Air Sunday’s World Extreme Cagefighting Fights Tonight
VERSUS, the cable television home of World Extreme Cagefighting® (WEC®), will re-air a night of action-packed fights from Sunday’s WEC event tonight at 8 p.m. ET. The two and a half hour presentation featured five fights including the lightweight championship bout between Jamie Varner (16-3-2) and Ben Henderson (11-1).
Additional matches include former featherweight champion Urijah Faber (23-3) facing-off against top-ranked Raphael Assuncao (14-2) and Mike Brown’s (23-5) return to the cage against newcomer Anthony Morrison (15-7). The night also featured a battle between lightweights Dave Jansen (11-1) and Kamal Shalorous (6-0-1) and an intense featherweight showdown between Mackens Semerizier (7-1) and Deividas Taurosevicius (12-3).

VERSUS, the cable television home of World Extreme Cagefighting® (WEC®), will air its first live fight card of the year on Sunday, January 10, at 9 p.m. ET. VERSUS announce multi-year extension with Zuffa LLC., the owners of both the WEC and UFC
VERSUS, the cable television home of World Extreme Cagefighting® (WEC®), today announced a multi-year extension with Zuffa LLC., the owners of both the WEC and UFC®. As part of VERSUS’ renewal deal, the network will air seven live WEC fights and two live UFC events in 2010, marking the first time that live UFC events will air on a national sports cable network.

VERSUS to air WEC – Best of 2009
NEW YORK, N.Y. (December 15, 2009)-VERSUS, the cable television home of World Extreme Cagefighting®, will air WEC® Best of 2009, a two-hour special featuring the most intense fights of the year on Wednesday, December 16, at 8 p.m. ET. Three of the greatest fights of the year, all of which lasted five rounds, will be shown in their entirety, including: Ben Henderson vs. Donald Cerrone, Urijah Faber vs. Mike Brown II and Miguel Angel Torres vs. Takeya Mizugaki. VERSUS will re-air the special the same night at 11 p.m. ET.
The first fight of the night will feature the amazing bantamweight title fight between Japanese striker Takeya Mizugaki and then-champion Miguel Angel Torres. Mizugaki shocked American audiences by forcing Torres, one of the best pound-for-pound fighters in the world, to go the entire five rounds.

Versus To Air WEC’s Greatest Knockouts II
NEW YORK, N.Y. (October 6, 2009)- VERSUS, the exclusive cable television home of World Extreme Cagefighting® (WEC®), will air WEC’s Greatest Knockouts II on Wednesday, October 7, at 9 p.m. ET. The hour-long presentation will feature fight highlights from some of the biggest knockouts in WEC history.
The show will feature fight highlights from August 2008 to the August 2009 match in which Brian Bowles defeated Miguel Torres, one of the pound-for-pound best fighters in MMA, to earn the bantamweight title. Also included are the knock-out fights from Mike Brown’s featherweight title win over Urijah “The California Kid” Faber in November 2008 and Jose Aldo’s amazing eight-second knock-out of veteran Cub Swanson in June 2009. World Extreme Cagefighting Event Postponed
VERSUS, the exclusive cable television home of World Extreme Cagefighting® (WEC®), today announced its sixth live WEC event of the year, originally scheduled to air on Weds., Sept. 2, has been postponed due to an injury to main event fighter Ben Henderson. The entire card, which will feature Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone against Henderson in a bout that will crown the interim WEC lightweight champion, has been rescheduled and will air on VERSUS on Sat., Oct. 10. Third Season Of WrekCAGE Premier Changed To June 24
VERSUS, the cable television home of World Extreme Cagefighting® (WEC®), will debut a third season of WEC® WrekCAGE on Wednesday, June 24, at 10 p.m. ET. This is a change from the previously announced June 17 premiere date. This season will include 10 one-hour episodes featuring some of the best fighters in the WEC organization such as Urijah Faber, Mike Brown, Rob McCullough, Cub Swanson, Donald Cerrone and Jose Aldo, among others. All WrekCAGE episodes are produced and shown in HD where available. The hard-hitting first episode includes four of the fighters who headlined VERSUS’ live Brown vs. Faber II fight card, including the first meeting between Urijah Faber and Mike Brown in which former champion Faber lost his featherweight title to Brown. In addition to the Brown/Faber fight, the episode will also feature Jose Aldo’s never-before-seen-on-television win over Jonathan Brookins by technical knockout and Cub Swanson’s three round battle with Hiroyuki Takaya.
